For Pilates teachers and studio owners
Professional development for Pilates teachers, movement therapists and bodyworkers — taught by someone who is still teaching every week.

Most teacher training covers the exercises. It rarely covers the part that turns out to be hard: holding a room, reading the body in front of you, and knowing what to do when the plan you brought stops working. These workshops are about that part.
- Live tuition, online or in person
- An illustrated workshop manual to keep
- Access to the recording afterwards
- A certificate of attendance
The workshops
Creating great Reformer classes
Teaching Reformer is a lot to hold at once — cueing for different needs, safety and set-up, and finding variety for people who have been coming for years. This workshop gives you five ways to modify an exercise and nine steps to progress one, and a class template you can actually use on Monday.
You will leave knowing how to build a strong class structure, modify and progress with confidence, teach to your own strengths, and keep classes interesting for you as well as for your clients.
Teaching movement classes well online
Teaching online is not teaching in person through a lens. The room behaves differently, the people who choose it are often a different group, and everything you normally do with your hands has to be done with your words.
We cover cueing for a screen, keeping people safe at a distance, sound and set-up, what clients worry about, what studio owners worry about, and how to price it — particularly if you are adding an online membership.
Using the Reformer jump board
For Reformer and equipment teachers who want to bring the jump board into their classes. The benefits of jumping, how to plan a class around it, how to tell when a client is ready, when not to, and the things the jump board is good for besides jumping.
You will need access to a Reformer with a jump board — the movements have to be felt.
Teaching Pilates to pregnant and new mums
How to teach safely and confidently through pregnancy and after birth: what actually changes in the pelvis and the rest of the body, what to adapt and when, and how to hold the confidence of a client whose body is changing week to week.
Others, on request
Workshops Tania has taught over the years and can run again for a studio or a group: using the Wunda Chair to free the hip joint, Pilates for scoliosis, Pilates for active older adults including osteopenia and osteoporosis, and using stories and imagery to teach.
Bring a workshop to your studio
These run well as an event for your own team, or for your clients. They give your teachers more to work with, give your clients something to take home between classes, and give the studio a reason to bring everyone into the same room.
Looking for a workshop for yourself, not for your teaching?
Tania also runs workshops for anyone who wants to understand their own body better — feet, breathing, pelvic floor, neck and shoulders, lower back and posture. See the workshops for your own practice.
