For your own practice
Pilates with someone who has been teaching it for more than thirty years, and is still curious about it.
Whatever brought you here — a back that has started complaining, a body that has changed, an old injury, or simply wanting to move better for longer — the work starts the same way. We look at how you move now. Not how a textbook says you should.

Every session is shaped around the person in it. That is easy to say and it is the whole job: reading the body in front of you, and changing what you had planned when the body tells you something different.
Three ways to work with me
Private sessions
One to one, online. The most direct way to work on something specific, and the place to start if you are coming back from an injury, are pregnant or newly post-natal, or have never done Pilates before and would rather not learn it in a group.
- A$120 an hour
- Online, one to one
- Best if you want the work built entirely around you
Live classes on Zoom
Small group mat classes, live rather than recorded, so you are being watched and corrected as you go. You bring a mat and a little space; everything else is on the screen.
- A$50 a class
- Live on Zoom, in a small group
- Best if you want regular practice and the company of a class
Workshops
Ninety minutes on one part of the body — feet, breathing, pelvic floor, neck and shoulders, lower back, or posture — with time to practise and an illustrated manual to take home.
About Tania
Tania has taught Pilates for more than thirty years, in London, Australia, Qatar, New Zealand and Bermuda. She is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT), and she teaches at Balance and Control Pilates in Red Hill on the Mornington Peninsula.
She came to Pilates through dance, which is where the eye for how a body actually moves comes from.
Are you a Pilates teacher or studio owner? Tania's coaching, workshops and books for teachers are here.
